Funbunch Trip to San Diego
On June 15th the fun Bunch took its final trip of the year to San Diego and SeaWorld.
We left Phoenix at 9:30 and stopped for lunch in Yuma at the historic patrk and got back on the bus for the trip to San Diego.
As we were arriving there was a 5.2 earthquake but it wasn't strong enough for us to feel on the bus.
We checked in to Comfort Inn & Suites and after about an hour got back on the bus and went down to Mission Bay beach.
Many of us went running into the Pacific Ocean, some of us for the first time in our lives and while the water was a little chilly it was worth it.
After the beach we went to dinner at Luigi's, home of the worlds largest pizza.
After spending the night in the motel we got up and had breakfast and got on the bus to go to SeaWorld.
The first event at SeaWorld was lunch at the Shamu show and from there we were on our own to see the shows and go on the rides.
At 5 pm we got back on the bus and went to the harbor for dinner at Anthony's Grotto for seafood.
Then it was back on the bus for the trip home.
A good time was had by all who attended and many of us came back with souvenirs.
All who attended received fun buch hats and t-shirts to wear at SeaWorld.
The weather was cloudy so there was no runrise or sunset visible but the temperature was a nice break from the heat here in Phoenix.
It was an amazing time for all!
