In other news:
We have had a good week here at the center. Inspired by Sandi F. several consumers worked on making a significant difference in the center's environment by making their own Memorial Day flags as a tribute to those who have given their lives to protect our freedom. They hank in the community room.
Last week we received the remained of our fence on our patio. We now have a completely enclosed back patio. The addition aids us in maintaining security for our consumers. Hopefully, we will soon receive picnic tables which will make a wonderful addition to our beautiful center.
We have such a wide assortment of books in our library that aren't being researched or read. There is the "Story of My Life" by Helen Keller; "The Heart of a Woman" by Maya Angelou; "Somebody's Gotta Be Me" by Charles Barkley; and "How to Play the Game" by Jerry Colangelo. There are cook books, animal stories, poems, adventure stories, scientific phenomenon and stories about real life that need to be absorbed. This is a great way to have an adventure without leaving your seat.
